What Do I Need?
If you are a U.S. citizen (or lawfully admitted for permanent residence or hold a valid visa) who is at least 18 years of age and has a high school diploma or GED (some states do not accept a GED) and is physically, emotionally willing and able to give or receive massage techniques, your first step is to complete the Application for Admission to Medical Massage Institute of Southeast Michigan.
Although the application is the first active step, prospective students are encouraged to visit their chosen location and talk to an admissions representative or director about the program, experience a guided tour and participate in our informative and demonstrative Career Presentation. You may download the APPLICATION and complete the questions and essays. Please fill it out in its entirety and provide the application fee of $25.00. You may mail it to us, fill out the ON LINE APPLICATION, or bring the completed application to your interview. Please call 734-243-4551 to schedule an interview.
To ensure the provision of exceptional instruction, our class size is limited, so apply as soon as possible. It is recommended that applications be submitted no less than one month prior to the desired entrance date. Please visit the appropriately chosen location for scheduled start dates.
Once the application and fee has been received and reviewed, each prospective student will sit for a personal interview with an admissions representative. This is required to assess the candidate’s academic and personal qualifications and determine acceptance into the program.
Applicants who have been accepted into the program will be notified in writing within one week. Within 14 days of receiving an acceptance letter, the candidate must either return the enclosed enrollment packet by mail or schedule an appointment with the admissions representative for enrollment completion. Applicants requiring financial assistance must enroll in person, where they will receive prompt and friendly guidance in understanding all available options.

ALL APPLICANTS ARE PERSONALLY INTERVIEWED BEFORE ENTERING CLASS.
You must be 18 years of age or older, have completed high school or equivalent, be of good moral character and appearance, be physically fit to perform massage therapy and have a natural desire to enter into alternative medicine.
